Hi! I'm Suzette, your host. I have lived and taught all over the world and am a DBS-accredited holistic therapist, doctor, and TEFL teacher. My home is a large, modern property featuring four bedrooms and four bathrooms, ensuring each student has their own private shower. The house is exceptionally clean, quiet, and boasts three newly landscaped gardens where you can sit and chill. The location is perfect for getting around: the bus stop for the 15/16 lines is just 2 minutes away, offering a quick ride into the city centre, and Bulwell town is only a 10-minute walk. Most placements are conveniently close by. I provide a true "home from home" experience. I have plenty of free time to chat, share meals, and take you sightseeing to show you everything Nottingham has to offer. I’m confident that once you stay here, you’ll want to return!

We are a warm and friendly family-oriented household. We have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. We have three rooms available for hosting and summer is especially busy with lots of trips and activities. We host students from China, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Austria, France and Germany. We enjoy the countryside, family get-togethers, quizzes and good food. Contrary to popular belief I am said to be a great cook, often creating dishes with an international flavour. I also make jam and chutney and I am an artist.

Our classes are fun, relaxed, we play lots of games, what TV, explore Nottingham as you learn, talk about the latest news, talking about the students favourite You Tube channels, Tick Tock and cooking. The students can arrange to have extra individually or in a group classes and choose the content of the course: this is the topics of the classes and if they want to include grammar lessons or not.

I like interacting a lot with students. We would spend time together with the rest of my family. I am a music lover, so I would find out what Students like and embrace it over the period of stay. I will show around the town centre, show where the bus stop is and all the necessary orienteering. I am a fitness personal trainer and these skills allow me to interact with students a a teacher.

My four children will benefit from having international students at home. We live in a town half hour into Nottingham. We have a good local bus service going into Nottingham City, Beeston Town Centre, and even Derby City. All main facilities can be found in these 3 locations such as cinema, bowling, restaurants etc. There are many local country walks, a leisure centre and shops just a short walk from our house. My sons play football for a local club ‘Stapleford Town FC’ and my daughter attends Volleyball and Horse Riding. Students would be welcome to attend alongside my children.
